Online Exam Rules and Regulations

REQUIREMENTS

1.    Browser: Internet Explorer

2.    Continuous Internet access

3.    Registered, paid, and attended the seminar

4.    MyAlMaghrib profile – username (email-ID) and password

STEP-BY-STEP ONLINE EXAM INSTRUCTIONS

1.    Using Internet Explorer, go to www.almaghrib.org/exams (please note that the exam will only operate in Internet Explorer)

2.    Log in using your MyAlMaghrib profile used to register for the seminar (username = email address)

3.    You will arrive at the “Upcoming Exams” tab where you will find a listing of your upcoming exams.

4.    At the date of your examination, you will have access to the exam by clicking on the link to the respective seminar from 9am to 9pm of your time zone.

5.    Important: you will only be able to open your exam ONCE and will only have 90 minutes to write the exam.

6.    Proceed with answering the questions by selecting the best answer; the entire exam is multiple choice.

7.    Save the exam by clicking on the “Save” button at the end of the exam.

8.    You may now log out or browse your Exam Profile. Your exam grade will be sent to you within 7 days.

ACTIONS THAT WILL NULIFY YOUR EXAM

1.    Navigating away from your exam window.

2.    Closing your window without clicking “Save”.

3.    Highlighting text or attempting to “Copy” text from the exam window.

4.    Taking a screen capture of your exam screen.

5.    Pop-up software or windows like Adhaan software or Anti-virus programs; make sure to close such software before beginning your exam.

DEFERRAL PROCESS

1.    At the moment, the deferral request links from within your exam profile are not in operation. Deferral requests will be handled as usual through the form: www.almaghrib.org/exam.php

2.    You will be notified by email regarding your deferral request status; if approved, you will be able to defer the exam to a date of your choosing within 2 weeks of the original exam date.

If you need a deferral – Fill the Deferral Exam Form

• AlMaghrib deferral policy is strict and only VALID reasons will be approved.
• Do not wait last minute to submit form. Last minute submissions does not guarantee approval and may be denied.

If you are a traveling student – Fill out the Traveling Student Exam Form

• Fill out a form immediately and an e-mail will be followed up with detailed instructions
• Exams are taken online for traveling students and taken on the same day as local students.
• Travel students who are unable to take exam, must defer like any other student. Make sure to mark off that they are a traveling student at the top of the form.
